| John Fox is bringing it! |
They have.
An honor to be writing my first blog post, which will be one of many critical evaluations of the bears through the season. Tim and I will focus our sports expertise to deliver to you, the reader, the most insightful analysis of the Chicago Bears you will see on the web - anywhere.
Introductions slow us down, let us get down to business. How do the bears stack up this season? First, it is all about the head honcho, the big boss, the only man in the NFL to find victories with Tebow at the helm. None other than John Fox. Probably the greatest move the Bears have made in a decade was bringing this level of expertise to the windy city. Fox was close to superbowl gold with a relic of a quarterback sporting a robotic neck and now with the tools he has in Chicago, its not a question of when a superbowl victory will happen, but of how many times.
My future blogs will focus on players, but for this first post I want to look at the schedule and what the chances are of going 16-0, unaided by flat footballs and video cameras. Here is the list:
Sun 9/13 Green Bay 1:00 pm ET
Sun 9/20 Arizona 1:00 pm ET
Sun 9/27 @ Seattle 4:25 pm ET
Sun 10/4 Oakland 1:00 pm ET
Sun 10/11 @ Kansas City 1:00 pm ET
Sun 10/18 @ Detroit 1:00 pm ETS
SUN 10/25 BYE
Sun 11/1 Minnesota 1:00 pm ET
Mon 11/9 @ San Diego 8:30 pm ET
Sun 11/15 @ St. Louis 1:00 pm ET
Sun 11/22 Denver 1:00 pm ET
Thu 11/26 @ Green Bay 8:30 pm ET
Sun 12/6 San Francisco 1:00 pm ET
Sun 12/13 Washington 1:00 pm ET
Sun 12/20 @ Minnesota 1:00 pm ET
Sun 12/27 @ Tampa Bay 1:00 pm ET
Sun 1/3 Detroit 1:00 pm ET
If last year is a marker of what we should expect for this year then I am seeing a very real possibility of a 16-0 season. Some would say wince a little at a GB / AZ / Seattle at home start - but these teams will not be suspecting a retooled powerhouse that is the bears of 2015-2016. The element of surprise will kick off a 3-0 start. Teams that are or in decline (Oak, KC & Det) will net us an easy 6-0 start and following the bye this continues with Min / SD and STL. Next rough patch happens with Denver and then Green bay at home - a 50/50 chance for our bears in these games and the biggest threat to the 16-0 season. The remaining games will only be a risk of the bears opt for resting players instead of chasing history.
In complete, fair and balanced analysis of the bears chances this season, it is safe to say this exciting show will be underway soon.
